Dr. Angela Deotto, Clinical Neuropsychologist
Dr. Angela Deotto is a registered Pediatric Psychologist in the province of Ontario, with specialization in the practice of Clinical Neuropsychology and Clinical Psychology with children and adolescents. She completed her Masters and Doctoral degrees in the Clinical Developmental Psychology Program (Clinical Neuropsychology Stream) at York University. She then completed a pre-doctoral residency and post-doctoral fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), where she continues to consult and provide her intervention and clinical research expertise. Dr. Deotto has trained extensively in the neuropsychological assessment and evidence-based psychotherapeutic intervention of children and youth with acquired brain injury and complex medical histories. Throughout her pediatric hospital roles, Dr. Deotto has worked with various multidisciplinary medical teams including neurology, neurosurgery, epilepsy, genetics, metabolics, cleft lip and palate, and oncology.
Dr. Deotto provides pediatric neuropsychological and psychological assessment, consultation, and therapeutic services for a variety of clinical pediatric populations. From an intervention perspective, she offers integrative therapy services and has been trained in various modalities, including cognitive-behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and play therapy. Dr. Deotto is known for her warm, accepting, and inclusive clinical approach that prioritizes patient and family-oriented care models in which biopsychosocial conceptualizations are emphasized. Finally, Dr. Deotto serves as a Clinical Neuropsychologist on the FASD Diagnostic Team, which specializes in the assessment and diagnosis of FASD in children and adolescents
