Dr. Christina Dimech, Clinical Neuropsychologist (Supervised Practice)
Dr. Christina Dimech is a Psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario for practice in clinical psychology and neuropsychology with adults and seniors. She is currently completing her Supervised Practice year with supervision by Dr. Cherisse McKay and Dr. Jana Frtusova.
Dr. Dimech obtained her Honours Bachelor’s degree from the University of British Columbia and her graduate (i.e., Masters and Doctoral) degrees from the CPA-accredited clinical psychology and neuropsychology programs at York University. She completed her residency at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton providing services in the Clinical Neuropsychology Service and the Women’s Health Concerns Clinic. Dr. Dimech has also completed additional clinical and/or research experience working at Baycrest Hospital, Sunnybrook Hospital, St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, and the York University Psychology Clinic in both inpatient and outpatient settings. With respect to psychotherapy, Dr. Dimech employs an integrative treatment approach that is determined individually and collaboratively with each client, employing a variety of treatment modalities including humanistic therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, and emotion focused therapy. She is a member of the Ontario Psychological Association.
