Dr. Jana B. Frtusova, Clinical Neuropsychologist
Dr. Frtusova is a licensed Neuropsychologist and Psychologist in Ontario and a member of Canadian Psychological Association. She specializes in neuropsychological assessments and neurorehabilitation of adults and elderly. She also provides psychological services, including both assessment and treatment. Her primary treatment approach is Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. In addition, she serves as a research supervisor for undergraduate theses at University of Guelph-Humber.
Dr. Frtusova completed her doctoral degree in a combined program in Clinical and Experimental Psychology at Concordia University in Montreal. She completed her residency in neuropsychology at London Clinical Psychology Residence Consortium, including a major rotation in the Acquired Brain Injury Program, Specialized Geriatric Services and Adult Epilepsy Service. She also received clinical training from the Montreal Neurological Institute at the Neurosurgery/Movement Disorder Service and Epilepsy Service and at Baycrest in neuropsychological assessment and neurorehabilitation. Dr. Frtusova has been working at Storrie, Velikonja and Associates since October 2014. In the past, she worked at the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit of Hamilton General Hospital. Dr. Frtusova has published research focusing on the impact of sensory functioning on higher-order cognitive functions in clinical and non-clinical populations.
