  • Dr. Mary Ritchie, Clinical Psychologist (Supervised Practice)

    Dr. Mary Ritchie is a Psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) for practice in clinical psychology with children, adolescents, and adults, as well as forensic psychology with children and adolescents. She is currently completing part of her Supervised Practice year with supervision from Dr. Cherisse McKay, and also works part time for another practice providing forensic assessments and intervention for youth involved or at risk of involvement in the criminal justice system.

    Dr. Ritchie obtained her Honours Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Carleton university, and her Doctoral degree from the CPA-accredited clinical psychology program at Western University. She completed her residency at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), providing services in the Youth Justice Assessment Clinic and the Better Behaviours Service. Dr. Ritchie also completed additional clinical practica in the community, inpatient, and outpatient settings including the Child and Parent Resource Institute (CPRI), London Family Court Clinic/NavON, Southwest Centre for Forensic Mental Health Care, Victoria Hospital and Children’s Hospital, and London Health Sciences Centre.

    Dr. Ritchie provides psychological assessment, consultation, and therapeutic services for children, adolescents, parents, and adults with a variety of clinical presentations. She has developed strong assessment and intervention skills in the areas of learning, attention and executive functioning, emotional and behavioural dysregulation, mood and anxiety, trauma, as well as complex mental health and neurodevelopmental concerns. She emphasizes biopsychosocial conceptualizations in her work. Regarding intervention, Dr. Ritchie provides services using techniques including cognitive behavioural, dialectical behaviour, and acceptance and commitment therapy. She strives to customizing her approach to each client’s unique needs and concerns, while nurturing a warm, empathic, attentive, and non-judgemental space where individuals feel truly heard and supported.

    Dr. Ritchie also serves as a clinical psychologist on the FASD Diagnostic Team, which specializes in the assessment and diagnosis of FASD in children and adolescents.
