Mrs. Maria received her Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from York University, specializing in cognitive neuropsychology and completing her thesis on narrative processing at the Memory and Meaning Lab. She completed specialized training in psychometric assessment at Baycrest Hospital and has since provided psychometry services across several clinics, working with clients presenting with head injuries, stroke and neurological conditions.

In addition to her clinical work, Maria has supported individuals experiencing mood and mental health challenges through her involvement as housing support worker, as well as through extensive volunteer work in her community. These experiences have given her a strong foundation in working with diverse populations and an appreciation for the role of culture in mental health and client care.
